Leech suggests you, “Embrace your emotions and make your story come alive.” During the talk participants will learn: 1) Why emotion is needed to enhance a story. 2) How to touch the emotional button instead of punching the reader in the face. 3) Key words to describe emotion without using “felt.”

“No-one knows your words like you know your words! Why pay to give them away?” The most important question posed by our presenter, Jennifer Gregory at our next Orlando FWA Meeting held at the University Club of Winter Park Wednesday May 5th at 7:00 pm.
The top three things attendees will learn, 1) the importance of Pitch, Pace, and Pausing, 2) how to give your audience an inflection, 3) switching between narrative and character voices.
Gregory has over twenty-years’ coaching acting and performance talent to professional level, many of her students have gone on to perform in London’s West End theater district, and in film and television, to include starring alongside Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway. Jennifer’s students have also enjoyed representation by top New York commercial agents and gained entry to renowned training programs such as AMDA conservatory in New York and RADA in London.
Special Note: This is the first time we will be back at the University Club since the beginning of the pandemic. Social distancing will be observed. Masks are mandatory – no exceptions. Writing the thriller requires an understanding of the basic conventions of the genre necessary to keep readers on the edge of their seats. From I-4 East or West, take the Lee Road exit and head East toward the Atlantic Ocean. Lee Road will go over 17-92 and dead-end at Webster Ave., where you will make a left turn. Follow Webster through a light at Denning, then another light at the railroad tracks, then you will come to a stop sign, actually stop, then before the next stop sign (which is Park Ave) you will turn left into the University Club (directly across from the golf course). Park your car in the grass, then walk up the ramp to the side door. Enter and keep going to your left inside to the library where we hold the meeting.
