Orlando Florida Writer’s Association presents Advanced Book Marketing for the Savvy Author,” a talk by writer, speaker, and book coach Rik Feeney at the University Club in Winter Park on Wednesday, March 1st at 6:30 pm.

Knowing where to promote your work online is critical for success. The big question for every author is: Are you taking advantage of all the methods of promotion available to you? How have you researched your online niche market? Have you filled out your ISBN metadata? What’s the timeline for your promotions? How can you sustain the online marketing effort with your offline marketing techniques for a minimum of two to three years? Is it possible you can do all this for free?

In this talk, Feeney will show you easy-to-use strategies to integrate your offline and online marketing efforts, how to use Amazon to research pricing, cover design, and develop effective reviews, and, how and where to supply the appropriate metadata to make sure your book gets the notice it needs. These are just a few of the many ideas that will be discussed. There will also be an open forum where you can contribute ideas that have worked for you.

Join us at the Orlando Florida Writer’s Association meeting on Wednesday, March 1st at 6:30 pm at the University Club in Winter Park (corner of Webster & Park). The meeting is free and open to the public. Orlando FWA – May 4th – 6:30 pm: “Offline Marketing for Online Success” (Book Marketing)

Offline Marketing for Online Success

Orlando Florida Writer’s Association presents “Offline Marketing for Online Success,” a talk by writer, speaker, and book coach Rik Feeney at the University Club in Winter Park on Wednesday, May 4th at 6:30 pm.

Having a web site and promoting your work online is critical for success in this technological era, but many times the spark that makes a topic or a book go viral happens in day-to-day conversation, finding a business card, or attending a talk. As Feeney says, “The map to your online presence is often found in the mundane world.”

Have you designed a marketing campaign that includes offline techniques? What niche market have you targeted? What’s the timeline for your promotions? How much will it cost? How can you sustain the marketing effort for a minimum of two to three years?

In this talk, you will learn how to make sure your offline marketing supports your online efforts by: 1) creating word-of-mouth campaigns, 2) singing for your supper (doing author talks), and, 3) using your book as a business card (free booklet, sample chapters, CD). These are just a few of the many ideas that will be discussed. There will also be an open forum where you can contribute ideas that have worked for you.

Join us at the Orlando Florida Writer’s Association on Wednesday, May 4th at 6:30 pm at the University Club in Winter Park (corner of Webster & Park). The meeting is free and open to the public. For more information go to https://fwaorlando.wordpress.com or email usabookcoach@gmail.com.
