Rik Feeney, author, book coach, and publishing consultant presents Creating Your Digital Media Kit on Wednesday, January 8th at 6:30 pm at the University Club of Winter Park.

Feeney says, “Your New Year’s resolution should be to do at least one thing per week over the next year to promote your book.” Developing an electronic or digital media kit linked to your website will help demonstrate both preparation and professionalism when the media comes to call.

Feeney continues, “You may not always be available in person when the media makes contact, but with a well-designed media kit, the press can access 24/7 on your website, you may still be able to brag on your book and provide print, broadcast, and internet media with enough information to develop a great story about you and your book.”

This meeting is free and open to the public. For more information, contact: Rik Feeney, usabookcoach@gmail.com / www.RickFeeney.com.

Leslie Halpern 1960-2019

Leslie Halpern

Leslie Halpern

All, my name is Alex Halpern and I am Leslie’s son. As many of you may know, Leslie unexpectedly passed away. I’m sorry I took so long to post, I have been preoccupied by emotions. She was a loving mother, friend to many, an accomplished writer with wonderful ideas, speaker and professor at Rollins College.

Her outstanding sense of humor was appreciated by family, friends, and fans of her books and articles. She helped all those around her from young to old, whether it be proof-reading books for publishing or help writing college entrance papers.

Born in Louisville, Kentucky, graduate of Atherton High School and a graduate of University of Kentucky, she was a well-educated and well cultured woman who had a will to learn and teach. Being an author of many books and poems, she leaves a legacy that will live on forever.

She will be greatly missed by many, especially me. Thank you for being the best mother anyone could ask for and for giving me the best. I will always miss you and have you with me. I love you, Mom…

We will be having a Celebration of Life that is tentatively scheduled for January 11th. Please check Leslie’s Facebook page for any updates. If you have any questions, comments or wish to pay your respects, please contact my girlfriend, Marilyn, at (954)638-7153.
